“Great stay at St Hildas. Fantastic friendly staff. Stayed in 'Venice ' themed room which was lovely and had great double bath. Loads of choice for continental breakfast. Short walk to join Cleveland way and can head to Staithes or Runswick Bay in 30-40 mins”

“The decor of the hotel was dated and didn't reflect the details we saw when booking. The staff were pleasant when we saw someone. The location was good and easy to find our way around. Scratch card were available for parking for a reasonable cost.”

“Situated 15 mins walk from Whitby, perfect for us away from noise but close enough to access quickly. Great breakfasts and staff excellent, friendly and helpful 😎👍”

“Such a welcoming property. Smelt clean and welcoming. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Very comfortable bed. We had room 2 which had a bay window plus a lovely side window with view of the sea. Light and airy room with large bathroom. Parking permit provided for street parking. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you Dave and Emma. You have a beautiful well cared for establishment.”

“The shepherds hut was very run down ,dusty skirting boards ,faded bedding and rotting door and steps the shared toilet and shower were not very clean and there was peeling paint on the walls and ceilings. The food in the pub is very good .”

“We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings”
