We had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. This is an older Inn with creaky floors, etc. But it doesn't retract from the quaintness of the property. The stay included breakfast which was great, The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again.

We loved staying here after a concert at Lake Morey! The Manchester room was comfortable, clean and cozy. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! Would definitely stay again!!

The property is well maintained. It's a beautiful old Inn. Our room was nice and comfortable too. There was a deck outside of our room with rocking chairs. We had a lovely time sitting outside enjoying the evening.

My wife and I stayed here before heading to Maine for her marathon. The property is centrally located in town and well maintained. It seems to be off the most traveled routes which I appreciated. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The entire inn was well maintained and clean. The inn has wood floors and exposed beams that are beautiful and help tell the story of this building when it was originally built. The breakfast was delicious and they were happy to help accommodate my wife with an egg allergy. They serve maple syrup, made by the family’s farm, at breakfast and it is delicious! I highly recommend this inn for couples and single people needing a break. There are several spots to relax on site or you are within an hour to 90 minutes to many popular sites. My wife and I have already recommended it to family and we hope to be able to come back! Love this place!

I absolutely loved Dowd's Country Inn! The Inn is lovingly maintained - inside and out. My room was beautifully furnished, with soft lighting, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Breakfast is made-to-order and included in the reasonable lodging fee. The spacious common areas brimmed with character. Duncan Dowd went the extra mile in providing attentive hospitality and service. Being located right on the lovely Lyme Town Green, adds even more interest and charm. I will definitely look here first on my next trip to the Upper Valley.
