“AVOID THE HOTEL VERSION OF A SUPERMARKET SELF SERVICE TILL. No staff AT ALL on site. You’re sent a code to get in. The room was horrid. Broken bed, rips in curtain. Leaking toilet, broken toilet seat and sink plug. Heavily stained carpet. I ARRIVED but if you needed to speak to someone, you had to ring a number. “The double room was clean & fresh but the 'standard' size double bed does not compare well with the more usual 'queen' size provided in hotels in this price range. The staff were brilliant ambassadors for the hotel - Maisie & Jenny in particular - always attentive, always happy to engage with guests, always thinking ahead to anticipate the needs of their guests. “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. It is well located in the centre of Beverley, across the road from the stunning architecture of St. Mary’s Church and 10 minutes walk to the magnificent Minster. The hotel itself has wonderful public areas and the rooms are decorated and equipped to the highest standard. “Easy to check in and staff were very helpful. Free internet and ample parking directly outside your room. Takeaway breakfast was available early in the morning. Great little village down the road with takeaway’s and supermarkets available.”
