“Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet. “An excellent place for touring the lakes and the coast, easy to get to. Spoilt being a Sykes site as they go above and beyond to make it perfect with all you need for a memorable holiday. Many thanks for a very clean and comfortable stay, will recommend.”

“It has 4 Start rating but unclear why it’s that high. Checking in, staff member didn’t seem particularly interested. Had to prompt guidance on how to get to my room. Dinner was fine. Nothing spectacular. Breakfast was fine. Rooms are dated, bed was way too soft. Probably old. All just pretty average and not 4 star.”

“The room was clean but very basic and only just adequate. The breakfast itself was convenient, but the breakfast dishes and food were left out all afternoon and evening, which didn't give the impression of good cleanliness or food hygiene. Overall, the hotel was clean enough, but I expected better attention to the breakfast area.”

“On arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine biscuits and a bottle of milk which was a lovely touch. It is a lovely place to stay and would have no problem booking again.”
