“The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it.”

“Sorry to give such a bad rating because the hotel was fine. The issue was a wedding that had a loud disco and noisy drunk guests until midnight. I only got to sleep properly about 1am and was shattered for the next 2 days, it was a long drive there and back to get to the hotel and I was on a paid course so not a good experience.”

“As the name states this is an old inn. Room was decorated accordingly. Comfy beds with a reasonable sized ensuite. Evening meal was lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. All staff that we met were friendly.”

“Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room at the back, so no noise from the A66.
Room very clean, well decorated , great shower, comfortable bed.
Bar and restaurant very good
We ate an evening meal, which was excellent.
Continental breakfast was included, delivered to the room in a small hamper ,after completing a form the night before.
Plenty of free parking. Would stay again.”
