“Lovely hotel. In a fantastic location right by the entrance of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Worth paying the extra for a room at the back looking out over the Maned Wolves and Lar Gibbons. We loved watching the animals from our room. Beds were comfy, shower was great and the toiletries smelt lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. “Despite the large rooms, the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The beds are overdue to be replaced. Lots of piling on them and they didn’t have a fitted sheet. You could feel the bumps of the older mattress through the sheet that was on top of the bed. The sheet on top of the bed didn’t cover the entire mattress. It would roll up and expose the mattress in the night. I had to constantly get out of bed and pull it back over the bare worn mattress. Very poor lighting in the room and...

“Friendly staff, good pub attached with good food. Breakfast was tasty but did take a while to arrive (30mins). Room was clean, but tired and in need of some repairs (bathroom doorframe and main light fittings). Good place for an overnight stop.”
