“While the cottage was in a lovely location and it was great seeing the old trains going past occasionally, we were actually a little disappointed with it otherwise. The cottage was quite grubby in places, especially the kitchen extractor fan which had dirt and grease dripping from it. There was also a lot of cobwebs scattered about. “The views are excellent- Staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms very comfortable but warning of some sloping ceilings! Amenities very good - good value for money. Breakfast very good. Good choice menu in the evening but disappointed that apple and blackberry pie not available for 4 nights of our stay! Dog friendly - which is great for dog owners but personally - I wasnt so happy re a couple with 2 big dogs being allowed into the dining room in the evening.”

“Staff were outstanding, so polite and helpful. We had the early bird evening meal, which was beautiful and very reasonable in price. We stayed in a woodland escape cabin with a hot tub. It was clean and well dressed. Hot tub was preheated with fresh water. Will 100% be staying again.”
