“The property could do with a bit of updating in the rooms especially the bathroom and some painting. They offed a reasonable menu and the food was excellent. We found all the staff to be friendly one impartial was Liv she check to see if the room was ready as we were early and wanted to go out.We were meeting friends for lunch she came over to remind us of kitchen closing time and tell us about fish Friday deal,the service she gave throughout our stay was excellent she was so helpful”

“Really nice and regrettably brief stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast ran by a lovely couple. I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!). “Met with a friendly welcome and shown to our room. Whilst we had our own bathroom it was down the corridor from our room. Not a problem at all but unexpected. Food served in the pub is excellent and has a nice beer garden. The pub was very busy when we arrived and had to park a bit down the road but I moved the car into the main car park later in the day. Continental breakfast is available and just help yourself, this suited us. Nice pub and room. Would recommend.”

Car parking included was a bonus. Would highly recommend with only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bury St Edmunds. Would definitely stay again”
