“The suite we had was very comfortable and the bed was probably the best I have ever slept in, in a hotel. The view of the River Avon and the weir was beautiful.”

“Our luxury double room was spacious, clean and kept clean by staff each day. The only comment we would make was that the continental breakfast was not exciting and therefore somewhat disappointing for my wife who does not eat the cooked option.”

“For a simple stay over this is an excellent pub with rooms, nothing fancy but very welcoming. all rooms basic but en suite and have all that is required for a simple stay. In the bar/restaurant the food is good and the beer is as well. Wi Fi available throughout but can be a little patchy in the bedrooms. Breakfast is cooked to order with good fresh ingredients and is first rate. I stay here frequently and will continue to do so.”

“Property was convenient for Stratford. Bed very comfortable. A great selection of quality toiletries. Owners were welcoming and advised us of recommended places to eat prior to our visit. As we were staying on a Saturday evening we were able to book a table in advance at what was a very popular venue. Would definitely stay when in the area in the future.”

“Parking is very convenient and close to the village centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is very small and not what was advertised. It had a skylight but no windows. Towel warmer didn’t work. Breakfast hours were advertised for 9-10:30. When we arrived at 10 they told us breakfast was closed, but when I pointed out their own hours listed on the card, they did make us breakfast.”

“A genuinely lovely stay! Hosts were superb. Breakfast cooked to order and arrived hot, everything tasted good. Extra treat to have fresh fruit and yoghurt. Very spacious garden flat styled in relaxed elegance with everything you could reasonably need for a short stay. We stayed 3 nights and were very happy. “Sunny Nest is actually walking distance to the main area of Bourton-on-the-water. They have a farm with donkeys and goats, right out the back yard from the breakfast room. The owner lives on the lower level and has a nice display set up with Cotswold information brochures. There is parking on-site. Breakfast is excellent and the menu is varied. Aside from the usual English breakfast, you can get yogourt, fruit and other egg options and even smoked salmon. I would highly recommend Sunny Nest.”

At check-in, I wasn’t shown to my room and was simply pointed in the general direction. When I subsequently discovered an issue with the room and raised it, I was made to feel as though I was inconveniencing staff by bringing it to their attention.
