“Property has been upgraded downstairs and the restaurant and bar area are lovely as is the outside courtyard. When you go upstairs it’s apparent that an upgrade is still required. Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. And they are old and rotten. Triple glazed windows required. Carpets need replacing. Bathroom has been upgraded and is very pleasant but b&b...

“My wife and I stayed for three nights at Bartles Lodge in August 2026. We were warmly welcomed by proprieters upon arrival. The premises were clean and comfortable, we opted for a continental breakfast and the selection offered was excellent. We ate two evening meals which were hot and tasty and well presented. “Room is clean and quiet. Air-conditioner is definitely a plus during heatwave. We were able to have a nice sleep after a day long activity. Staff are very helpful to accommodate our request. On Sunday, the bar closes a bit earlier, so we missed the last order time. But we were able to have a dinner at the bar on a weekday. The food quality is superb in the area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again next year.”
