“Just returned from a two night stay at The North West Castle Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were a family group of 2 sisters and 2 brothers and all of us found the hotel great. Every member of staff were so helpful and friendly from the reception, the waiting staff at breakfast, the bar staff and the domestic staff they couldn't have treated us any better. A special shout out to Alan in the bar you are a star !! Breakfast was great. The rooms are spacious and have everything...

“Habitacion comoda y muebles nuevos. Cafe y te en la hab. Secador. Almuerzo caliente. Zumo. Cereales. No hay parquin se tiene que aparcar en la calle pero hay mucho espacio. Responsables muy amables.”

“This property was perfect for us. Sandy was so nice when we arrived early. We love to be able to have a window open and see outside. It’s nothing fancy but it was clean and host was fantastic.”

“Not a very friendly welcome and no help with luggage ( no elevator). Friendly breakfast gal and a pub and eatery downstairs and right next door. Waterfront walk if weather is nice”

“Staff were friendly, accomodation was ok a bit dated bathrooms had a strange smell a bit like dampness. Port Patrick was beautiful”

“Nice location set on a rugged isolated spot of the Scottish coastline. Nice views, friendly & helpful staff with an exceptionally fine dining experience in the evening. Breakfast was good value too.”

“The Portpatrick Hotel never fails to disappoint. The location is wonderful but the hotel itself is poor, poorly maintained and no attention to detail by housekeeping when preparing rooms, with empty soap dispensers in the bathroom. The hotel just seems neglected, badly managed and understaffed by people who have little or no training in hospitality. At best the breakfast was disappointing, the hot food in the buffet was edible, but the presentation and other items sadly lacking.”
