Vacations Close To Lehman Center for the Performing Arts

Our room was very clean, and had everything we needed. The location was great, so easy to access Time Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Centre, Central Park. Would definitely stay here again.

The experience was good. The staff was helpful and had a few restaurant suggestions handy. The hotel room a decent size and we had access to a private balcony. The balcony was a nice place for drinks and stargazing. There is a rooftop deck if you wanna be closer to the stars. I would stay here again and if your into nyc pizza there is a good spot across the street.

While the room was centrally located in the theater district, I probably wouldn't stay here again. Our room entry door wouldn't lock. We had to rely on the safety latch, which was loose. There wasn't any "Do Not Disturb" sign for the door, and twice, housekeeping walked in on us without announcing. The room, which was a king size "upgrade" room, had a single window that was about 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall and looked at a wall that was about 5 feet away. The shower was not tidy and had water stains. The floor wasn't vacuumed. The bed was like sleeping on a college futon and squeaked every time we even blinked an eye. We were only given a single washcloth for two of us. The air-conditioner was so loud that it kept us up at night, and it didn't keep the room at the temperature we wanted. We were freezing by the morning, and didn't have access to additional blankets. Other hotels are a little bit more money, but the extra cost is probably worth the price. If you are struggling with finances and need a cheap place to stay, this is the perfect hotel. If you expect a hotel in NYC to be a little bit more upscale, considering its location, try another place.

The rooftop lounge was nice and the locations was good. The staff was generally OK. However, the thermostat for the room malfunctioned wildly and the mini-fridge froze all our food so that it was ruined. Some nights we sweltered because the temperature setting seemed to have no relation to what the actual temperature in the room was, at times varying by 6-12 degrees. After working appropriately the first night, the thermostat seemed to develop a mind of its own and would only work intermittently. Not a great thing in summer NYC weather. The mini-fridge seemed to run all the time even on the lowest setting, so was useless for anything but maybe chilling bottles of vodka. We lost about $50 worth of groceries as a result.
