“I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude. We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking....

“I had a great stay at The Kingswood St Austell. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the staff were absolutely fabulous—friendly, welcoming and always happy to help.”

Punktabzug gibt es für: 1. man muss beim Frühstück extra zahlen, wenn man eine „Kaffeespezialität“ wie einen Cappuccino bestellen möchte. 2. unter unserem Tisch im Zimmer lag noch Dreck vom vorherigen Gast. 3. am Abend wurden wir an der (nicht sehr vollen) Bar nicht proaktiv bedient, sondern sind nach einigen Minuten an die Bar zum bestellen gegangen. Alles eigentlich Kleinigkeiten, dennoch trübt das das sonst sehr gute...

“Amazing views, very lovely staff, easy parking, very clean and comfortably spacious rooms. Only thing to note is that if the bar / restaurant is open and music on, and it's summer and you have windows open, it can get a bit noisy on the top floor. We stayed Friday and sat night so that might also make a difference. Parents were in room on cliffside below the restaurant and was much quieter there. Five stars easily even with this!”

“Helen and Paul must be two of the nicest and kindest hosts we've met. After a 6 hour drive, to arrive to a cream tea laid out in the apartment was truly a lovely touch. One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, they'd literally thought of everything you could need. You name it, it was there, potato peeler, sieve, cling film, foil the works.
