Lovely hotel my only criticism is the floors are very creaky in the bedrooms so you can hear anyone walking around day or night about you , we didn’t sleep well as the people above insisted on walk around constantly until 3 am , god only knows what they were doing. Left the family very tired the next day ( not good ) !

It was the first time staying at this hotel. It was a great place overall but what made it an amazing experience was thr hotel staff especially Matthew. Matthew went above and beyond to make our stay amazing he was genuinely kind and had exceptional customer service. Other staff who deserve a mention is Sarah and Anita. We love coming to your hotel as it gives us all the things we need. Location is perfect surf shop for our fun. Unfortunately we always seem to have bad experiences with the restaurant it always gets sorted but would be nice if it didn’t happen. On a brighter note the staff are fantastic and always there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Many thanks. See you soon

Great location by the beach. Fantastic facilities for kids. Very family friendly. Dinner was excellent but the breakfast is way overpriced at £25 per adult! Go elsewhere for breakfast! Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel for families.

This is not really a 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star with a swimming pool and view! Accommodation lacking in parking spaces, so if none available, you are forced to park on the main road! You will be told it’s free to park there, but at 7.30 am on the day of our departure, we witnessed four traffic wardens booking numerous vehicles! Breakfast is mediocre, very limited choice on the continental section, no meats, cheeses! Hot selections are poor quality products, similar to what you would get in a ‘premier inn’! We booked for an early breakfast as we had an early flight. When we were eventually allowed in, it was pretty obvious they weren’t prepared! No hot selections, staff walking in with boxes of yoghurts, no butters/jams/marmalade etc! This meant we forced to hurry to get away in good time! At a cost of £200 per night, we expected a higher level of service/food quality and comfort. For our next stay in Newquay, we will be looking for a different place to stay? Just to add, we don’t usually do reviews, but on this occasion we felt we had to voice our opinions as we were disappointed with our experience at the Esplanade Hotel.
