“A lovely hotel nestled under the Dorset Ridgeway path and only a 40 minute walk from the coastal path. Pretty setting, with lovely garden and good restaurant. We had breakfast next door at the farmshop which is a linked business and offers a 20% discount to the hotel residents.”

“Arrived at the property and it has closed for business leaving us stranded at the height of summer when everything is booked up. We are hours from home on a road trip.Taken our money months ago and no word from the owners, still listed online and still taking bookings. Landlord at a local pub told us tbey had gone bust. Shocking behaviour!! Beware of booking here, need to take it from your website! Doing a chargeback with credit card.”

“Fabulous location away from the tourists but a very short walk to all the action, the sea, the harbour, etc. Free parking included. Spectacular breakfast included. The hosts, Jackie and Chris, took care of our every need and went beyond expectation. Even brought us upgraded wine glasses one evening to better enjoy our bottle of wine on their front patio. Incredibly generous hosts.”

“Very unique guesthouse, host was lovely and made you feel very welcome. Every room was different, we had a peek in room 5 which was very elegant with a beautiful bay window. Our room was room 8, top floor. A lot to look at in the room. Seemed to be history based. Breakfast was amazing. The only biggie was that the water pressure in the shower was non existent, it wasn’t worth even trying to use it. “I was told to go back as I was early so that was fair to come back at 2 and the room was full of rubbish and also no clean bedding to be told to go back out and come back in a hour okay he gave us a drink wouldn't stay again as it wasn’t the best also I do have photos it was a hot day and it smelt funny with all the flys and rubbish”

“Nice pub accommodation close to the sea. The rooms are above the pub, so expect noise until after closing time. It's a large pub for tourists, so it can get busy, yet despite the young front of house team, this place runs like clockwork - I was very impressed with how well organised they were.
