“Die Ocean Lodge auf Langkawi war wundervoll, vor allem Dank der liebevollen Gastgeber Nanthi und Didi. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Frühstück genossen und viele Tipps von Didi bekommen. Er hat unere Touren gebucht und alles hat immer super geklappt. Wir können die Ocean Lodge absolut empfehlen und vielleicht schauen wir eines Tages wieder vorbei. DANKE!”

“Its not as it looks like on photos. The room was very antiquated and almost unkept with insects crawling here and there. Staff were extremely nice.”

“Great place for a relaxing holiday; not a lot of nightlife; kayaking in the mangroves was a highlight. Easy walk to the shops; private pool was wonderful; staff friendly and helpful. Shops don't open until at least 10 am, or even 12 noon. Finding places that serve alcohol with a meal was tricky at times; laid-back holiday, not for those looking for adventure.”

“The place was lovely especially the pool. You do have to understand that you are very much in nature so there were bugs in our room but it wasn't an issue. Shower was great staff were lovely. We only stayed one night as we had another place booked but the nature around us was lovely to hear and see. Breakfast was a buffet so got to try lots of bits and again the staff were there to explain what the bits were. Lovely stay.”

“Pro: staff is great, as good as it gets Cons: there is no way that this hotel has gained an “excellent” score according to most guests. As others mention, outdated rooms, lack of maintenance, huge stains all over the carpet on the corridors, dubious cleanliness, and the dirtiest water pool I’ve ever seen. ”

“Pros: friendly and efficient staff. They do their best Cons: it is not a resort. It is a complex of old houses without adequate maintenance, needing a huge and urgent improvement. Wood carvings on the walls don’t have mosquito nets so keep in mind that a tent would isolate you much more that these “villas” do. Also, the junction between the ceiling and walls is mainly open so the AC is ineffective, and we were unable to stay inside during the day. The interior is remarkably dark and light setup...

“This location makes you feel like your in the middle of the jungle yet your only 6-10 minutes from downtown, beaches, and the ferry terminal. This is not a traditional hotel stay, the owner personally gives white glove service, from airport transportation, to morning breakfast served on your private porch. Razia (owner) even took me to her Gym, G9. Excellent gym for serious weight lifters and cardio fans. The room is positioned on a hill looking into the trees where we saw Monkey’s, Hornbills...

“Room was dirty, had mosquitos getting in from window cracks and even a lizard. Self checkin was inconvenient and everything required a taxi for travel, nothing walkable. Shower had a heater but was like warm at best. Fridge froze our food, and the mattress we could feel the coils when trying to sleep. Room looked nothing like the picture as it had stained walls and was not kept up.”

“Pros: Friendly staff, big rooms, spacious and very clean and affordable. Cons:There are a lot of mosquitos in the room so make sure to bring mosquito spray. Also, the bed is very very hard. All in all it is a good clean option for the price.”
