Vacations Close To Lakeside Gardens

I arrived and was told there was an extra $30 per day for my dog the website says dogs are free and the place looked awful. Broken vehicles in the lot etc. The manager told me if I chose not to stay he wouldn’t charge me and understood. Then I was charged the full amount for all 3 days!

This is the cutest place - retro but totally modern. Absolutely spotlessly clean. The man at the desk is very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, fantastic memory foam pillows, and completely new bathrooms. Easy to get to, and a straight shot to the airport.

Firstly, five stars for Fletcher, the night desk clerk doing his best, running around being jolly and generally awesome. But that's where the positives end. For a 4-star hotel, I expected better. The architecture is a vibe. But the interior needs a major refresh. Chipping paint, filthy entry carpets, cracked elevator tiles greet you. There is no valet, the parking garage is across the street but there is no direct access to the hotel. There is no concierge and no one to assist with luggage. The entry is up a flight of stairs, so carrying luggage is required, NO ADA ACCESS. The lounge and restaurant on site have minimalistic menus and mediocre food, although service at Gracies was amazing. Outside of Fletcher, the front desk staff were less than helpful and rarely made eye contact, asking every time we walked by, if we were checking out. The room itself, a corner suite, had high ceilings, a massive walk-in closet and was generally spacious. Coffee in room was provided as decaf only, a true insult to PDX culture. The furniture was in need of repair, lamps all flickered, most outlets were nonfunctional and the ironing board was so old, the cover crumbled when opened. The air return grates were thick with dust, not great for allergies. The TV provided basic cable, 13 channels, you get more at Motel 6. The hotel itself has no amenities, though generally quiet, I wouldnt stay here again.

Nice location it’s in a good spot with walking distance to a lot of places. The staff was very nice and helpful. I wish they had a pool and a better parking system.

Small and unimpressive room… but clean -and inexpensive, and In a great location, at the edge of downtown, and easy walking distance to the main shopping and dining area of NW PORTLAND. also a short (but steep) hike up to Washington Park, with its beautiful rose gardens, Jalene’s garden, zoo, etc. don’t expect much from the hotel, but the bed was comfy, the shower water was hot, and the location for the money can’t be beat.

The website states that the King bed sleeps 3! We all assumed that meant there was a pull out bed of some type. I have never seen it advertised that a King bed sleeps 3 on any other website. This is extremely misleading. They did not have a roll-a-way or any other solution for us. We had to give up our room to our family members and we ended up driving home in the middle of the night instead.

The bathroom is too small. The toilet is half way the door. The sink is like a salad bowl size. There’s barely any space for your own stuff. The hotel charges 28 dollars for something you don’t really need, such as 5-6 pm happy hour beer, etc. They don’t have anything except for a bar of soap. The most most horrible thing is the flush sound of the toilet. You can hear your next door neighbor flushing so clearly and loudly that it can wake you up in the middle of the night.
