They have cleaned the hotel up since it’s no longer the Monarch. Feels like patchwork a little. The sign out front still hasn’t been updated, it’s covered with the new hotel name. It’s an old hotel but the staff was great. The restaurant is the best part of the property. Their food & drinks are outstanding.

The staff was mostly unavailable, any question was met with exasperation or “I don’t know”, they told us they tell people the pool closes earlier than it actually does so it won’t take so long to get people out, there was never (one time I got half a cup) any coffee available in the lobby nor creamer (the coffee maker in our room was broken and had water with pink scum in it) and they told me I could go possibly buy a glass of milk from the restaurant, the store was nearly empty, everything was dirty, they’re in the middle of a takeover and renovation but when you stay at a Hilton there’s usually a very nice, clean and well maintained public area. I was there with my family and many other people for an event and I wasn’t the only one who has issues. The bar and restaurant were very nice and the food/drink was excellent.

Initially, I was impressed by the rang parking. The front office representative was cordial. The room itself was clean and well-maintained. Upon my arrival, I was quite tired and desired to shower and rest. The restroom appeared presentable; however, once I entered the shower, I noticed a significant amount of hair on the shampoo and conditioner bottles, as well as on the floor and drain, suggesting a potential lack cleanliness. I proceeded to disinfect the area to the best of my ability using Clorox wipes. My sister, occupying a room next door and she encountered a similar issue. It looks like housekeeping is being inconsistencie with housekeeping duties. When my sister addressed this concern with the "manager," we received an apology and an assurance that we would be contacted by management. To date, we have not yet received that follow-up communication.

Resteraunt was nice and hotel room as expected. The reasons for the low rating.as follows: 1) There was an oily cleaning solvent on a spot on the floor that sent you scrambling when stepped on. 2) The tv didn't work. Maintenance said they wouldn't be able to fix it, we were moved to a different room which turned out to be occupied, and was sent back to the old room while they looked for another room. We were given a gift card to use at the resteraunt and offered 2 free bottles of water for our trouble. The staff members were clearly working within
