Barbara and Fred were truly exceptional hosts! From the moment we arrived, their warm welcome made us feel completely at home. They generously gave us a tour of their magnificent property, which is absolutely stunning and thoughtfully designed. Every morning over breakfast, we were treated to delightful conversations filled with fascinating stories from their lives, their youth, and the incredible journey of how Fred built this beautiful home with his own hands. Their hospitality, kindness, and storytelling made our stay unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough — it’s a true gem in Tahoe. If you’re looking for a place that feels like staying with family, this is it!

This is my favorite bed-and-breakfast in Lake Tahoe. The bedroom had a bed that was more comfortable than most hotels. I’ve stayed in. The room was warm during the winter stay. The view in my bedroom bathroom and kitchen area where we ate was spectacular and just magical to see this snow cap mountains over the lake. The whole experience and the excellent service and friendliness of the couple who owns the place made it exceptional. I would definitely go back and recommending to my family and friends.

Such an architecturally interesting property, beautiful timber and rock throughout the place. It was such a cool experience to see such a one-of-a-kind place. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was delicious! Also, they have two very cute dogs on site which was an added bonus :)

Unique furniture and location! I absolutely LOVE the architecture of the property and the decorations accumulated by the host. They’re also wonderful people full of fascinating stories, not to mention the breakfast is delicious! You get soo many amenities and i’m surprised we were able to find something soo great for the price!

It was amazing! The house was beautiful and custom made and the hosts were friendly. Staying for Christmas holiday is a special treat as the entire house was decorated. Wonderful location, beautiful.

We stayed at this beautiful property 10 years ago and wanted to come back as we couldnt forget the charm and the beauty of this beautiful bed and breakfast. The owners, Barb and Fred are such a cute couple. They provided a wonderful breakfast with meats, cheese, pastries and more. Plus the coffee was excellent. They also have 2 very cute dogs, Missy and Fluffy that will greet you when you arrive. Barb gave us excellent recommendations on things to do and great places to eat. The views are awesome and the rooms are unique.The B&B is run by an older couple, the man is sweet with dimensia and the woman is overwhelmed. There are massive wrap around decks but they aren't really furnished to hang out on. The view from the windows are spectacular but she got mad at me when I was on the deck to see the stars. Its centrally located but you still have to drive everywhere. Lastly, I recommend to bring the smallest vehicle possible b/c parking is limited.

Frederick and Barbara were great hosts, who work very hard. Their life stories are great, and their house is amazing! If you like lots of eclectic furnishings and old European charm you'll love this place (we certainly did). Frederick was even gracious enough to let us keep our mountain bikes in the garage overnight. This place isn't for everyone, but for those who want a truly unique experience you may really like it here.

We truly enjoyed our house hosts Barbara, Fred and their pups! We had the downstairs 2 rooms so we had a private entrance, balcony and bathroom. Balcony could use a cleaning but otherwise the view was beautiful! The shower is a step down into so be careful if you have limited mobility. The bed and couch are extra soft. The continental breakfast was great, danish breads, croissants, english muffins, hard boiled eggs, coffee and juice. Breakfast on the patio is highly recommended! It isnt walking distance to the lake but up a bit on the mountain. There was a microwave and fridge in the room.
