Vacations Close To Lake Region Golf Club

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are very clean but are lacking several things since the rooms were remodeled . Kimie the manager was amazing and really was trying to make our stay the best possible . Apparently fellow travelers in past visits have stolen several items from each room. Therefore the next person finds that the amenities are no longer there for them . That being said Kimie was wonderful at supplying what ever was lacking and what we needed. I sure hope the owner appreciates all she has to do to keep guests happy. Yes we eould stay again the rooms are spacious and very clean . A great location for beach, bars and restaurants. Thank you Kimie for going the extra mile to make our stay so wonderful.

I stay in a lot of hotels but I don't write about a lot of them because there's nothing to say. But... this hotel is an exception! Thoroughly enjoyed my time here! I got one of the lower priced rooms but was surprised to see that it was quite large and the beds were extremely comfortable. I mean I really didn't want to get out of bed. And that included the pillows... and they give you five pillows!!.. nobody gives you five pillows anymore!.. and they were full size pillows!..not a half pillow like everybody else does these days! Then they had this incredible smelling shampoo which they should market and sell cuz it was amazing! We had our grandchildren with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the giant chess set and the miniature golf but the icing on the cake was all the Swimming Pools and jacuzzis and that wonderfully giant slide! Then there's all kinds of activities too, if you have nothing better to do. I've never seen a hotel offer so many great activities! And the staff was refreshingly kind. Debbie at the front desk was so helpful and made us feel very welcome! Even our maid was sweet! And you can't beat that they have a bunch of great restaurants. We went to the Rumfish Grill that has an amazing aquarium that the children loved and so did we ! The food was excellent especially the lobster bisque! And to top it off you're right on the beach just seconds away from the water in the middle of St Pete . We'll be back!!

It is an old hotel. Stairwells, elevators and other common areas were very dirty. Gross. The room was pretty decent. Old, I wouldn’t sit on the furniture. They charge a lot to park everyday. Definitely not worth it to pay for parking and the $55.00 a day resort fee. So tack on $85.00 a day in fees. The beach area and pool area are dead at night. You have to walk down to Jimmy B’s for any kind of music. I wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth all the extra fees.
