I had a wonderful stay at Bestwestern of Lake George. The cleanliness was exceptional—both the room and common areas were spotless and well-maintained throughout my visit. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. From check-in to check-out, they made me feel welcome and ensured that all my needs were taken care of promptly. The breakfast was another highlight of my stay. There was a great variety of options and everything was well presented and regularly replenished. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent cleanliness, outstanding customer service, and satisfying breakfast experience. I would gladly stay here again.

The staff were excellent. They upgraded our room. However, the outlets didn’t work, there were cob webs everywhere and the place had an old smell to it. It definitely needs upgraded. Not to mention the outdoor pool was very cloudy.

The room itself was clean upon arrival with the exception of the toilet- it had clearly been used (after the room cleaning) or not cleaned. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and the water got nice and hot. The bed was very comfortable. The walls are very thin- we could clearly hear the conversation taking place in the room next door ( they were not yelling) The window would not lock and there was a toothbrush jammed in the track (presumably to keep it closed) There was a nice variety for breakfast. Front desk staff & the "breakfast lady" were pleasant and helpful

Hallway smelled like pot as soon as we walked into the side door (BOTH NIGHTS). Also, the side door had no security - anyone could walk in. Having a room on ground level made me feel very uncomfortable. We did not use any of the amenities' - so I cannot comment on that. The young lady who checked us in was very nice. Our room was old looking, not even a smart TV. There was mold in the restroom ceiling which was also peeling. Crack in the paint everywhere!! Crack in restroom sink. Bed was very uncomfortable - big hump in the middle. Room looked very old, except for the flooring which was inconsistent. There were two types of flooring.

This latest trip was May 26-28 2026. Two adults no kids. Over the years I have stayed there multiple times. As with all mid level motels, they have had their good years and bad. This stay was very good. Clean and pleasant room, friendly and helpful staff. And a very competitive price which is important to me. On the first night when I was experiencing a sound problem in my room, I was immediately offered the room across the hall, and this was a particularly busy time for the motel. Bree, one of the managers, was professional but with a very personal touch. Though I had no need to use the included breakfast, outdoor pool or indoor hot tub, they were there if I needed them. I will most definitely stay there again. George P

The staff were all very nice and caring about your needs, especially the evening check in person and the wonderful woman in charge of the breakfast area. The rooms were not good we had to swap rooms after the first night because both beds were in bad shape with lumps that felt like hills that made us feel like we were going to roll off onto the floor. The second rooms bed were not much better. We were there for 6 nights and did not get a single cleaning. The fan in bathroom sounded like a jet engine. Only one of the two ice machines on the first floor was working and required a long walk to the second.
