Previously a Covid isolation facility, it resembles a military camp, with 'lively' paint/lighting schemes and a basketball/pickleball court. Not a bad location but rooms suffer from damp/condensation due to the climate, and too many rooms smell of mold. It can be seen growing on the wooden beds. This is a health issue as mold can cause allergies or even asthma. Air conditioning units are old and noisy, and if you're a light sleeper you will need ear plugs to sleep. Sometimes there are no shower curtains, and staff quote 'budget issues' as a reason. A plastic curtain is too expensive? Rooms not cleaned to an acceptable standard. You want it cleaned? That will cost 65 hkd. Need to leave your luggage for a few hours? That costs 55 hkd. Maybe they should use that money to buy shower curtains. Only stay here if you have very low standards.
