“Our stay at The Cove was smooth and easy to check-in. The room itself I would say definitely didn’t look like the photos they use but was decent enough for a place to rest and in an area convenient to shop and drop things off in-between. Room gets quite hot even with a/c on and outside construction/ crowd noise can be disturbing at times. Located conveniently near the metro and many other shops such as vintage stores, cafes, bars and restaurants. We didn’t use the in unit washer and dryer but...

“Location is excellent. This unit is tore up. They boast a security deposit but they aren’t using it to maintain. The rooms smelled of cigarettes and could use an airing out. Slept ok but only because I had earplugs- neighbors were loud and partying. Didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the couch… but excellent location. Glad it was only one night.”

“Large, sparsely furnished apartment with comfortable beds, grimy plates and mugs, washer and dryer in the bathroom, nice big bathtub, balcony and a fire escape and good view of the street below. Painted an ugly beige. Could be improved by a few colorful pillows and better art. Stairwell dirty. But solid, nice old building. Was a snafu with them not sending the door code until asked a second time, but then they sent it. Best deal for staying in the neighborhood we wanted to stay in.”

The following day, upon returning from an outing, the entrance code was not working; when I asked for it to be reset, the staff member responded as if it were no big deal. The room was not cleaned the day after check-in; it was only cleaned on the third day, so I was unable to tell whether cleaning was carried out daily or every other day, and no information had been provided at check-in.
