“What a great stay at the White Hart Inn. Set in the middle of Hawes, wonderful breakfast and dinners, and a recently renovated room that was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite. Would recommend.”

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“From arrival to leaving nothing was too much trouble. I was on my own and the staff were more than helpful as to where to visit . The food was varied and excellent. Breakfast was basic continental but didn’t want any more. I make what I consider sensible comments not criticism and mentioned these to them. 1 possibly a small fridge in the room in view of current conditions but found out I was lucky and had a larger room so this wasn’t feasible throughout. “We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way North and were very happy that we picked this Inn. The room was quite basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and in line with the price point. We had an evening meal in the bar area which was very good with generous portions and we were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was nothing short of excellent with good quality ingredients, perfectly prepared.”
