In fact the motorway runs right alongside the hotel however don't let that put you off because you wouldn't know due to the excellent job they have done at the hotel to eradicate the noise. “The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. “Everything about our stay was very good. Lovely clean room with everything we needed. Large bath with very hot water . Kettle with tea, coffee , biscuits etc , hairdryer and iron. Dinner was good and the breakfasts were freshly prepared. We enjoyed our drinks in the bar and the prices were very reasonable. Staff Lovely and friendly, will certainly think of returning. ”
