Excellent hotel by the water in Izmir. Easily accessible to many parts of town. Loved the cleanliness, front desk service and varied breakfast with a view. Clean room ,great staff, great location. Good breakfast but little to no meat as common in Türkiye. Great emergency plan as I was lucky enough to have the 6.1 earthquake one night at 11 pm. We have been staying here every time we visit Izmir. Everything is top quality and all members of the crew are extremely kind and welcoming. You feel welcomed the moment you enter the hotel and the feeling stays the same your whole trip. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. The food is top quality and the variety is great too. The kids love both the indoor and the outdoor pools. The gym is fully equipped and everything is clean and well maintained.

This hotel deserves better management! *we came to hotel by car from another city, we found the entrance of the building by navigation, it was during the rush hours and finally when we came, we saw a big construction area written that "sorry we are renewing our lobby area"! so then what? there is no sign, no employee! we started to turn around the building and streets and lucky found the entrance to hotel trough their convention center. I inform the chek-in employee that it was problem for me, they should inform their customers before check in ; he replied "I will transfer your complain to management" that's all ! Other issue was extra bed they brought to room! it was not ready when we came to room and it was the oldest and worst extra bed ever. my son couldn't sleep there and we had to share the king bed 3 of us. And when I informed them of course the answer was "we will transfer your complain to management" Again no "sorry " the only star goes to the Italian restaurant in the hotel. it was amazing! but hotel it self was not even close to 5 stars except the location and building.

I stayed for three nights on business. This was my first time in Izmir and I'm glad I booked at the Swissotel. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The breakfast was outstanding. I think this was the best spread of breakfast items I have seen in Turkey during my travels. I didn't have a chance to access the pool, but the grounds were beautiful and it had been warmer I would have spent some time outside by the pool. The immediate vicinity didn't have a lot of restaurant options, but if you walk north and then go left at the first stoplights, you can enjoy a nice walk down a market street and then at the end of the market street is where you will see a lot of great shops and restaurants. I grabbed a great dinner and some baklava, which was vacuumed sealed so I could take it back to Canada. This hotel is close to the water and only a 15 minute walk from the famous huge market in Izmir, which seemed to stretch on forever (I almost got lost). If I visit Izmir again, I will definitely book this hotel if the price is right!
