The hotel was easy to reach from the Airport, because the metro station is right in front of the building. The stay was good and the hotel is central, so you can easily reach most of the attractions in Izmir. Unfortunately the room was at first floor and was a bit noisy during the night, since the hotel is on a main street (i suggest to ask for upper floors).

Noisy rooms, good location

Could have been a comfortable city hotel due to spacious rooms and excellent location, also the staff was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the front facing rooms (4 rooms out of 6 per floor) receive so much noise from the busy street, late at night and early morning, that I wasn’t able to find much sleep. The sides of the road are lined with drainage grids that make a loud clanking sound whenever a vehicle passes over the junctions, a bit like a railway. The windows are very simple/thin and don’t manage to keep the noise out. Another issue is that people frequently smoke in non-smoking rooms, so it’s not easy to find one that doesn’t smell of smoke. The first room I was assigned smelled so strongly that there was no way I could have slept there, I asked for another.. the staff was understanding about it and the second room was much better (still noticeable though).

The room and the bathroom at the hotel are good. Linen and towels are good and clean. However, the reception staff are not helpful at all. Nobody could understand English and was also not really interested in having a ‘google translate’ conversation. One eventually gave me directions on the first day; I walked for 30 min with no luck. They would just shrug their shoulders and literally walk away. Just to find from store owners that tourist info has closed. The breakfast staff were friendly though and the breakfast is great.

Worth every penny!

This is the best hotel I stayed during my Turkey trip. It was exceptionally good. Room was clean, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and new looking, AC was powerful and silent. The price was very reasonable. Hotel staff was very cheerful as well.

Wonderful hotel, staff and location

It was a wonderful hotel, perfectly located about 5-10min walk from nice restaurant by the sea and from the Old bazar and Hisar cami. The staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful. They helped me with early arrival, and to fix my suitcase locker that broke. The room was very nice and nicely decorated. The view from the breakfast/restaurant was fabulous. I will definitely come back and recommend the hotel.

The location is great. Especially if you want to see old 400 years city with Bazar and mosques, because it is literally one minute from the hotel, across the bulevard.The staff is so helpful. The room was spacious with soft sheets. Make sure you book the room with the balcony since there is no so many hotels who have balconies.

The Hotel is situated in a great location for sightseeing in Izmir/ Konak, literally walk to all the main city sights, markets, the pier from here. The metro station is on your doorstep and gives access to the other historical sites and we even used the metro then the Izban line to the airport! The Hotel offers a great buffet style breakfast and I particularly liked the complimentary soup served around 10 pm. The hotel reception, the restaurant staff and all staff were very warm and welcoming. We are planning to Izmir in the near future and will definitely stay here again.

Hotel amenities were very good, it was close to the seaside and the staff were very helpful. Its on a one way street which we had difficulties navigating to with our GPS but one of their staff came to the nearby street where we were parked and drove the car to the hotel and parked. Parking is on the street and only allowed overnight until around 10am.

I’m comparing this hotel to few blocks down hotel I stayed at before 3 times , OGLAKCIOGLU PARK BOUTIQUE HOTEL The best but 86 less service articles rules which is really weird,in the restaurant you can’t put 2 tables together and we are 3 people one has to sit alone ,3 people can only have one room key,they have soup from 10 to 10:30 we go at 10:20 they sais we are closed ,so ota ok hotel ,i have to say the guy ay front desk Sarkan was so polite and accommodating I haven’t see. Someone that nice in turkey in 4 years So so stay at the other one and they have coffee and tea all day

this hotel is located across the street from authentic old town Bazar. Metro station is by hotels entrance. Posh part of the city is called Alsanjac and it takes 15 minutes walking through main boulevards to be reached. Sea boardwalk is 10 minutes walk.Buses and trains are close also. Staff will tell u how to reach Ephesus by train. Rooms have small terrace. Staff is very pleasant. Breakfast restaurant has a view of the old middle-age Bazar with 3 mosques and a partial sea view. Breakfast is very good and the lady who supervise it is extremely sweet. Her name is Gumzee.

Good hotel - average customer service

The hotel was good and very well located near the main attractions of the city. The breakfast was decent and the cleaning ladies were perfect. The only thing to complain about is the manager/receptionist who asked us to pay extra money from the amount agreed on the reservation because the price was apparently not correct on the reservation and did not take into account the extra person we had (which was clear in our reservation). I refused to pay as it was not our fault if their pricing was not correct. They claimed that it was the agent's fault (hotels.com or expedia), I am not saying they are lying but it is so unprofessional to make the client pay for a mistake he/she did not do. If it is the hotel's pricing error, then the hotel should pay, if it is the agent's error, then the agent should pay. And that bothered us in our stay as we had to discuss this matter with 3 different people and argue that it is not us that have to pay. That's really unfortunate as the hotel was really good.

BE CAREFUL, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND LOOSE THE JOY OF THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY OF IZMIR, THIS PLACE CAN’T BE EVEN A 1 STAR HOTEL The reasons why I can’t give this place more than 1 star and will never recommend it to anybody are: 1. After I completed the check in we went to our room on floor 4 and as soon as the guy opened the door the room was smelling really bad, when I told the guy if he could please change the room for us, his answer was: you just need to open the windows and flush the toilet lol… then I had to go down to talk to the manager and after some arguments and him telling me the hotel is booked when I am very sure it’s not, I told him I can’t sleep in that room, the smell was awful, I told him I really prefer to sleep in my car instead.Then when he saw how insisting I was he said ok I’ll give you another room. 2. The rooms, the first one and the second one are not clean, the beds smell smoke, the toiled has spots on it, the laminate floors are all scratched and too old, the washroom door is swelled from bottom and needs replacement maybe 10 years a go, the bed cover at the side where you put your legs are dirty. My advice just be careful and don’t come close to this weird place.
