“Overall, I had a pleasant one night stay at the Walnut Tree Hotel. The room was quite basic and a little dated, but it had the essentials, including a double bed, tea and coffee-making facilities, and towels. Unfortunately, the TV in my room had no signal, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, given the warm weather, it would have been nice to have a fan in the room, as there were no facilities to help with the heat. “We had a lovely stay whilst visiting wookey hole. Lovely room, it was an ajoining room so great for families. Comfy big bed and great home cooked breakfast. Would defo stay again”

“What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The air conditioning was a real bonus, although unfortunately it did drip a little water on the floor. My only other niggles...

“We had an excellent overnight stay, the staff were helpful and efficient, room clean and in good condition, the hotel public spaces were well furnished and also in good condition. Breakfast was very good, enough choice, my wife having a vegan breakfast was no problem at all, food was fresh and well cooked. Overall a great experience and we will be happy to use Holiday Inn Express again.”

“This hotel does not have staff as you do a self check in so it is not possible to rate this part of the survey. The hotel offers no amenities, however there is a kettle and tea/coffee provided . The room was perfectly fine for one night. Comfortable and clean although needs updating and there was a bleach stain on the carpet. The room was unbearably hot. A fan was provided but it was not affective in the size of the room so maybe worth the hotel provided a second fan. Other than that not a bad...
