“Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. “I was delighted with the room which had a beautiful Sea view. We couldn’t use the balcony which was unsafe but that was okay, better to be safe! It was clean and very comfortable. Very friendly staff . The breakfast was fabulous! It was a busy time but although we didn’t get to breakfast until 9am we weren’t kept waiting and the staff did all they could to help us enjoy the plentiful and delicious breakfast selection. I’d definitely recommend and i would stay here again.”

“We've been staying at the Trecarn Hotel in Torquay at least twice a year for the past 5 years as it's within 10 minutes walk of our son and his family , Its comfortable but basic ,I think it could do with a good freshen up .Sadly this time wasn't quite as good , we had 2 choices of room .Up 2 flights of stairs as the lift wasn't working or down 1 flight which we took as we both have knee problems. “The hotel needs air conditioning in all bedrooms as the rooms were too hot. There were no fridges in the bedrooms to keep water cold etc which was disappointing as we had to ask for glasses of ice to do this. Staff were exceptional and the spa and swimming pool were really good. A great location on the edge of Dartmoor with access to some great walks.”
