Vacations Close To Iolani Palace

My experience was very disappointing. My flight was delayed, and I arrived after the reception had closed at 10:00 PM. I already had a valid, prepaid reservation, but I was required to pay an additional $50 in cash just to check in. I was not reasonably aware when booking that arriving after 10:00 PM could result in this additional charge. After a delayed flight, being placed in a situation where I had to either pay another $50 or potentially lose access to accommodation I had already paid for was unacceptable. Travelers should carefully check this property's reception hours and all late-arrival conditions before booking, especially if arriving by air. I would not stay here again.

Peaceful We checked in to a room, extended to another night since it was raining, instead of trying to accommodate in staying into that room until the next room was ready. I had to check out wait while it was pouring rain. The assistant was Vanessa, did not tell me there was a refrigerator where I could store the food we had already purchased, which I did inform her we had food. All she said that she could put that request in and that the room should be ready by 4p,. Check out from the other room was 11am. Room was ready by 2pm . So for 3 hours it was pouring and everything packed. The next day electricity goes out for one hour, while making breakfast, no back up generator. Again, check out 11am. NO SERVICE RECOVERY FOR THE DAY BEFORE AND DAY OF CHECK OUT FOR PIWER OUTAGE!. Same person, Vanessa, requested to at least check out by 12p. Which i thought was reasonable, being i did not say how I was Accommodated for the previous day. She says that the room has someone that needs to be checked in , so if I could be checked out ASAP. I was out by 1130p. As much as this area on the island can be so beautiful, and they have renovated from 10 years ago. Service has diminished for the amount you pay. The last time we had breakfast, and a upgraded room, since they did not have the room available at that time. What happened to Kama'aina and Aloha! It's too bad for such a beautiful place

Every thing doing good except parking is too small ..Staff very nice and helpful..We be back sometime next year

It was a great place to stay at—convenient and walking distance to everything.

The staff there was very nice. The problem with this hotel it is very outdated. The rooms needed to be updated. There was also no phone in the room. The bed was very comfortable, though. Everything in the bathroom needs to be updated and all the furniture in the bedrooms. Also the carpet in the hallways and the bedrooms looked very worn and old.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. For being an older hotel it was very well maintained and even though they didn’t have a pool the ocean was right across the street! We ended up upgrading to a deluxe ocean view balcony which was directly facing the ocean on the 11th floor and it was so well worth the money!! The staff was super amazing and kept our room clean and kept our coffee filled, lol the valet guys were great at getting our car and parking it back. They were super helpful about where to find places! Would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend staying here! Right in downtown Waikiki in middle of all of the fun and beach!
