“Very convenient location, 9mins walk from station and 7mins walk to start of shopping area. Room was pleasant with lovely large bathroom. Clean bedlinen and comfortable bed. Shower was excellent and spacious. Nice to have coffee machine in room. Breakfast was very good and done to order. My only issues were that to access my room i had to use an outdoor fire escape and walk across roof - this was safe and easy to do but not ideal with luggage, nor was it welcoming. “We have stayed at the Abbey once previously and were greeted on our arrival by 'welcome back'. Always nice to be remembered. We stayed in a different room this time which was more of an apartment with a bedroom and sitting room. Shower and toilet room was very good. The staff are very polite and cheerful.
