“As soon as I walked into The George I was welcomed with friendly smiley staff who helped me check in and showed me to my room. They went through dinner times as well as breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast as I was too full up from the dinner the previous evening, the pie was beautiful and the sticky toffee pudding was yummy! My room was of a good size, clean and tidy and en-suite shower room was lovely. I will definitely be booking to stay at The George again when I next visit.”

“Overall a lovely stay. Our room was large, clean & comfortable with a balcony overlooking the front garden area. Good to have a fridge in the hot weather. We also appreciated the USB ports & other amenities. Comfortable armchairs & a comfotable bed, although the bedding was a little excessive for the hot weather - easy to remove the top layer though. The lovely bathroom was also a good size with a seperate bath & shower. Our only frustration was the early morning traffic noise - we had to open...

“Staff were very helpful at reception and in the restaurant. Lovely breakfast and plenty of choice. Food was also very good. Would recommend to friends.Our room was very small and wardrobe was not tall enough to hang clothes.”

“Escogí a este hotel por el diseño y la cercanía a York. Se tarde 30 minutos en tren desde Harrogate (1 hora en coche !). El hotel es una joya, elegante, muy limpio, con baños muy modernos y unos desayunos espectaculares. Esta muy cuidado y se muestra el buen gusto de los dueños. En cuanto a Harrogate, es menos conocido pero merece la pena la visita, especialmente por los parques, tiendas, los baños turcos y Betty's Tearoom, donde se puede disfrutar del mejor afternoon tea!”

“Breakfast Room was a bonus. Excellent choice of food, etc and helpful, friendly staff. Irregularities between Website and reality - Website says first come, first served for car parking- I parked in an empty space but was asked to move because it was already allocated. No cones across the space. Also Website says parking fee of £1-50pm per hour charged after 11am on checking out. I asked for two extra hours but was told this was not available because I was checking out on a Saturday. No mention...

“Staff seem to be still learning the majority of there roles with alot of renovations going on. Good comfy beds well situated on many acres of ground and soundings.”
