“What a lovely place to stay. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We parked up the car at the back of the pub and left it there for two days because everything you need is right there. We did a great walk from the pub and bought essentials from the little shop at the campsite opposite. The food at the pub was great . I highly recommend.”

“The inn is in the most beautiful setting with wonderful views . The accommodation is very comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast and the restaurant is worth booking as the food is delicious and they pride themselves on sourcing ingredients from local farms and businesses. “This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. “Exceptionally well presented and equipped. Quiet, clean and comfortable. More options on the TV that at many places. Good food at walkable pubs. A little tricky to find, so would recommend parking nearby and doing a recce on foot first! Extremely well placed for walks to and beyond Castleton and especially for the hills behind Bradwell”
