“This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. “What a lovely place to stay. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We parked up the car at the back of the pub and left it there for two days because everything you need is right there. We did a great walk from the pub and bought essentials from the little shop at the campsite opposite. The food at the pub was great . I highly recommend.”

“Enjoyed our stay at the plough. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent. Room was a little small but well appointed, with tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, heater/ fan and hair drier. Bed comfortable. 1k from the centre of Hathersage, lots of parking for residents and bus stops outside.”
