“The cooked breakfast was very good but the coffee was weak. The owners were friendly and helpful. The room was motel style with guest access at the back of the property and lead out onto a road where you take a path between houses to get round to the front of the building and the car park. The owners did let us take a short cut through the pub upon check-in and check-out. The bed was comfortable and the water was hot but there was mould on the bathtub tiles and on the curtains in the bathroom...

“The Old Bakehouse was a lovely homely place to stay, and the village of Colyton is in a pretty and convenient location to visit several attractions in the area, go to the beach, cycle or hike. Fiona and Steve were excellent, very helpful, and hospitable hosts. “We were greeted with a handshake which is always a good start. Our hosts, Neil and Rosemarie were welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was a good one. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and shower. We were pleased with the coffee machine and the fridge on the landing for the cold milk.
