“We’ve stayed at the Globe a number of times, and unfortunately this was the worst yet. I think it essentially depends on where you get placed - annex, arch house or in the pub etc, as to what the rooms are like rather than your booking. The room we were in was tiny, thank goodness it was only for one night. The room itself also needs a freshen up/good clean, with splash/dirt marks up the walls and paint chipped. Wasn’t the best welcome by front of house either, she was very brusque and then...

“Staff very friendly on arrival. The overall place has a clean, friendly and quiet atmosphere. The room is exceptionally clean and lovely and airy. Lots of plug sockets which is very convenient and plenty of little milks to put in your tea or coffee. It makes a nice change, as in other places always have to ask for more. The bed was lovely and comfortable. Food was good value and great pub food. Again staff very friendly and just felt they were definitely doing something they loved. Would go...
