“From the minute we stepped inside we were welcomed by friendly helpful staff. The rooms were clean and roomy. The food was excellent and the dining room service was excellent…..evening meal and breakfast. The views were incredible, the location was beautiful. Would definitely stay again and would definite, recommend, 100%.”

“This is a very charming place situated right in the center of “Darrowby”. The inn has a beautiful garden and the breakfast is tasty and well done. The innkeeper Lynn was the best example of hospitality we have ever had, coming to the rescue when our rental car had a flat tire in a remote area. She really embodies the reputation of how lovely the people are in the Yorkshire Dales, and took extra care to make sure our car troubles didn’t ruin the vacation.”

“Booked for a wedding but on the morning of the wedding there was no hot water to get a shave or shower but what made it worse was that there was no communication from the staff and no apology offered or compensation from management”

“Incredible stay at The Saddle Rooms. Easy check in with very helpful staff. Treated to a lovely twin room named 'The Pretender ' (all rooms named after famous racehorses) with my son. Attention to detail wonderful. Amazing large bathroom with true waterfall shower. Comfortable beds and air conditioning/systems that actually worked. We had dinner which was worth every penny. “We had a nice stay here. The only bug bear was that there was not much fruit at breakfast. I do not eat fry ups in the morning. The only fruit was apples. Maybe a dish of mixed fruit or bananas would have been nice. The staff were really pleasant and the hotel itself was fine for our 2-day stay. The bedroom could have been a little bit more updated, paint off in most places, the en-suite was old fashioned, could be done up more modern really.”
