I knew that its a busy area but very convinient for getting around as only few minutes from Hauptbahnhof. Cant complain other that I missed a important code for the automat check in. But it got solved. Thanks to on site person who turned up. Thank you

Could do a better job letting you know your private bathroom is in the hallway. But it worked. Steindamm is a Street with, lets say a lot going on. Cross the street and the rest of St George is quite nice

The hotel was wonderful. We loved the attic room with the cool air coming through the window. However the area around the hotel didn’t feel safe. It was close to the main train station which is why we chose it. I would not be going out after dark in that neighbourhood.

Hotel was secure and close to the train station. Staff were friendly and professional. Room was large and cleaned every day. Shower was powerful and water was hot. The room didn't have a window that could be opened - so there wasn't much fresh air. And the window that was there had no curtain, blind, etc. - so it did get very bright very early each morning. And the area around the hotel is a bit sketchy, a few homeless people and drunks and drug users (although they left me alone and I never felt unsafe).

We paid for 2 double beds and ensuite, but were but in a room with one double bed and the bathroom was down the corridor. When we went to reception the next day, we were told reception was closed. Even the man was there. The room was fine but annoying as we had paid extra for the convenience of having an ensuite and 2 beds and didnt get it.

Bad area, no elevator to 5th floor, no checkin

The check in isn't at the property, but instead 500 meters further away, which was very stressful to me since I was carrying a heavy bike. It is also a very seedy area with lots of drug addicts and prostitutes. My room was on floor 5, the elevator was small and stopped on floor 4, so I had to carry my luggage up the stairs. In my room there was a window in the ceiling, and it had no blinds or curtains, so my room was bright as daylight at 5 am in the morning. All in all perhaps the worst hotel I have been at in Germany.

I wouldn't hesitate to give this a rating of 0 or below zero if possible. The reception staff are truly terrible troublemakers with no respect for customers. Consider checking elsewhere, as they're always trying to extract money, offering various excuses. I don’t recommend it to anyone seeking a decent and enjoyable time in the city. The place is filled with drunkards and drug dealers. Now you have the information you need.

Never got to the hotel! My original search was "hotel in Hamburg with free airport shuttle".. Check in Hamburg was located in an area where we thought we could see quite a bit of the city walking in an afternoon, evening and morning before our flight to London. When the contact number was called I was curtly told that they did not have an airport shuttle. Asking to cancel, again curtly informed it was prepaid and non-refuindable, to contact Expedia about a refund.

The shower had mold all over it we didn’t even shower at all !!! It was dirty we found a key in the bed !! Outside disgusting garbage everywhere and a lot of drunks was outside the main door ! Check in is not in the same building would be nice if they tell u this when u book we had to Carry 6 suitcases back and forth ! Elevator only goes to 4th floor last floor u have to carry ur luggage !! We had to open the window because it was hot in there and outside was loud music we had to listen to !!
