“Liked how the staff upgraded us and were responsive to our feedback. Liked the bed and linen, and how, mostly, the apartment was clean. Liked how Oulton Broad North railway station was walkable, and how room 11 has a parking space - if hard to find and quite tight. The place was good value. Not so good: There was a stained grey rug in the living area that needs replacing. We didn’t have a tea towel or oven gloves until we asked. There was no bath mat - and not enough hooks to hang towels on.”

“From the outside the property had old style appeal and parking which was a positive however when taken to our room this was at the back of the property and you had to pass washing hanging online, a laundry shed and general toot and tat. The entrance to the stairway to the room went past the back of the kitchen where the door was permanently open so you heard all the usual professional kitchen noises.. “Reception staff were pleasant, though noticeably lacking in basic local knowledge, such as the location of nearby bus stops. The room allocated did not match the full sea view room that had been paid for, and although £50 was deducted from the bill, this did not adequately compensate for the downgrade. The standout member of staff was Maggi at breakfast, whose service was consistently excellent. In contrast, the Sunday lunch was unacceptable in both quality and presentation, leading to us dine...

“On arrival receptionist very helpful. Dinner v.good young waiter was extremely busy but nothing was too much trouble for him with anyone. Bed a little soft but v. clean Tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast next morning very good lots of choices. Would recommend very good value for money.”

“Immaculate room, very comfortable. Excellent bathroom - good shower, good towels, shower gel provided. Wifi worked fine - no problem connecting and good speed. Staff were very helpful and very friendly - that's the stand-out thing, really, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was everything I'd want and very tasty. A pot of tea (with two teabags) and a pot of hot water meant there was plenty of my favourite beverage. Very happy with the evening dinner from the bar menu...
