“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “The Hotel is very good value for money. Great for an overnight stay. Rooms are clean although would benefit redecorating. Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and a heated towel rail and free WiFi. Ample car parking. The Hotel lacks Bar/Restaurant but a Buffet style Breakfast is available. This looks much improved from my first stay. (I have stayed five times at this Hotel) There is now a Bistro menu in the evenings, I am looking forward to trying this on my next visit.”

“Had such a relaxing stay, staff were very welcoming and helpful, they even left me a note to wish me a Happy Birthday which was unexpected and so lovely. Rooms were beautiful, had the best sleep in a while! Food is exceptional and plenty of both in and our door spaces to relax with a few drinks. Easy short walk to the town centre as well as Burley House. Definitely recommend this hotel for all occasions. Shall be staying again very soon!”
