“Great location about 10 minutes drive into the City. Large, clean room with tea, coffee etc and fresh milk in fridge & bottled water too. Quirky room as part of an old pub so floors a little uneven and steepish staircase to get to rooms, but didn’t detract from the stay. Breakfast was delicious and staff all extremely friendly & helpful. As it’s a pub, you are obviously aware of noises from the pub during the day and evening but as soon as it closes, it’s very quiet.”

“Room was nice and clean. The bathroom has clearly been redecorated recently. The bowl of retro sweets is a nice touch. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I'm not a natural bar person, but the clientele are all adults and wouldn't look out of place in a wine bar, so the atmosphere is quite civilised. The choice and quality of the breakfast is excellent and could probably give Simpson's in the Strand a run for their money. This is my sixth visit, so I guess I will have to recommend the place.”

“Really lovely staff, lovely room and great food. Only point to note is that the accomodation is above the pub, so if you go to bed early this may not be the place for you as some of the bar sounds can be heard until closing time.”
