“The property is quaint/unusual. Not easily seen from the road if arriving in the dark. Provisions given in the room and the landing were excellent and fabulous location for Stansted airport. However, on opening the front door noted that the hall carpet was slightly worn and the room allocated had a shower in the room rather than the bathroom. Otherwise very comfortable stay and would book again, but request a room with a definite bathroom.”

“The room was in poor condition. Cracked tiles, no bin, no toilet brush, stained napkins and I found multiple hairs around the room. Not worth the money that I paid and won't be staying again.”

“Due to a VRBO double booking, this was a last-minute booking @ around 6:30pm. They welcomed us in with open arms and made the stay most enjoyable. Glad we got double-booked!”

“Really nice and regrettably brief stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast ran by a lovely couple. I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!). Breakfast was really high quality and ample. I will definitely look to stay again! Thank you!”

“The rooms/chalets are fairly new and everything was in good order. The shared patio is a nice idea as it gives you the opportunity to wander out with your coffee and slump in the fresh air, surrounded by plants. We arrived on e-bikes and there was an area of shingle in the garden outside the chalets which was the perfect size to put the bikes overnight, they could only be seen from the chalets. “Loved the pub experience. We have stayed in Bury before. Walking downtown to farmers markets on Saturday is awesome. Many pubs and restaurants in town The brewery at pub was excellent and I had a pint there to end my day. The breakfast was awesome every morning. Recommend staying at pubs the staff make everything perfect”

“The bathroom was small and dirty with mould growing up the pipes behind the wc. The w.c. was filthy in the bowl. The stairs leading to the room - the Stour Room - were dusty with bitts all over The property looks lovely outside but i would not recommend it to anyone and i think you should visit this inn urgently. ”
