Hotels don’t understand not all dogs are well trained so the carpet stinks probably from dogs that pee that are territorial .really wish they had laminate flooring and they should not designate one room pet friendly .. trained dogs don’t make a mess and those that do should not be allowed to stay but if there was laminate flooring you can clean it better than carpet. “This place was a solid 4 stars, though the beautiful grounds, beach, and scenery deserve 5 stars. This is a heritage property and though there is a dated feeling to the furnishings, we found it gave a charming atmosphere and a nice throwback as a rustic northern resort. The cottages and rooms are simple and not modern, but the cost of staying here is pretty reasonable for such a spectacular location on the breathtaking Lake Joe. Other places nearby would have been $500 more for our 3 night stay....
