“We were in an annex, not in the main hotel. The room was clean, but the space was very small with the 'bedroom' on a mezzanine floor. The roof sloped so much it was difficult not to crack your head on the ceiling. The bed was a small double. The towels were old and must have been washed using conditioner as they did not dry you after a shower. There was a beer festival on the weekend we stayed and the volume of the music outside was exceptionally loud and even inside the annex with the door and...

“Our stay at this hotel was very comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Our room was a standard room at the top of the house and it was very clean with a nice ensuite and a comfortable bed. The decor and furniture enhanced the room giving plenty of space to put our clothes and personal effects. Food was very good, we had a three course dinner and the food was delicious. Breakfast was also very good with a good and varied choice on the menu. Toast was available on...

“Location brilliant staff lovely bathroom needed updating no shelving no cleaner for room available.in 5 day stay. But happy there so would stay again.”

“The Victory provided a clean room and en suite . The room was very small, only 2 small shelves for storage, 2 coat hangers and a small double bed that filled the room providing very little space to squeeze past the bed. En suite 30cm x 12cm shelf, no other place to put toiletries etc but good shower and washbasin. No one around for breakfast at 9:00am so went out to find something to eat. Really lovely staff member helped when we were checking out. The room had been refurbished but bed too small...

“No checking in service at all. No prior instructions were given. We were helped into our apartment by the lady who owns the jewellers downstairs. We were woken at 6.45am on a Sunday to the sound of scaffolders and a traffic management company setting up to commence install scaffolding at 7am on the building we are in with no prior communication from the host this would be happening otherwise I wouldn't have booked there. By 8am there was a workman outside my first floor bedroom window so I had...

“We stayed the night before our son's wedding. We booked two rooms. Both had a lot of mosquitoes. The other room also had some sort of bugs which inflicted nasty bites. The day after I called the pub to let them know they had an issue. I was told a manager would call me back. Four days later I have heard nothing. Very unimpressed. Will never stay again.”
