“We stayed the night before our son's wedding. We booked two rooms. Both had a lot of mosquitoes. The other room also had some sort of bugs which inflicted nasty bites. The day after I called the pub to let them know they had an issue. I was told a manager would call me back. Four days later I have heard nothing. Very unimpressed. Will never stay again.”

“Great place”

“This is not a place to stay for light or sensitive sleepers. It is across the road from the town's clocktower which strikes every hour and chimes every quarter right through the night. The hotel clearly recognises the problem because it leaves earplugs, which are ineffective, by the bedside. We had booked for two nights but left after one because we couldn't bear another sleepless night. The manageress was entirely unsympathetic and certainly wouldn't entertain a refund.
