“The property was old and quirky. We had a comfortable stay and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast. The village is lovely and we took the opportunity to have a walk around. We met some lovely locals who stopped and chatted.”

“Good bar staff, nice food, OK breakfast if you're OK with a buffet style cooked breakfast where things are kept lukewarm on a tray (doesn't work with fried eggs). Little jugs four milk for the table to put into coffee or tea would be a good idea, save having to get up and get the milk from the buffet every time you top up. Very nice room, nice shower. Excellent friendly service at reception very helpful - thanks! Dog friendly (and not a stupid charge either)!”

“Immaculate room, very comfortable. Excellent bathroom - good shower, good towels, shower gel provided. Wifi worked fine - no problem connecting and good speed. Staff were very helpful and very friendly - that's the stand-out thing, really, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was everything I'd want and very tasty. A pot of tea (with two teabags) and a pot of hot water meant there was plenty of my favourite beverage. Very happy with the evening dinner from the bar menu...

“Rooms are clean but dated, floors throughout are creaky. The shower took 10mins to get hot, such waste of water. I ordered starter and main course they came out together, the starter was nice and fresh, I think the main course was kept warm and not cooked fresh as I sent it back. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh so it takes time to arrive.”
