“The room was decent and the bed comfortable. The issue we had was the bar had closed at 10.25pm and the bar staff wouldn’t serve us despite us having been told that it would be open until 11pm. We weren’t even allowed to add drinks to our bill and have them in our room because the barman said he’s closed all the tills. He said we could go to the local garage if we wanted to buy alcohol - not exactly what you expect when staying in a hotel.”

“Due to age of building plus isolation it had some unique qualities but the staff were all lovely and the stay was enjoyable.”

“The room was pleasant and the bed was extremely comfy, the remote for the tv looked like it needed a good clean and the ceiling fan blew air up not down. Expensive for what it was, wouldn’t have minded if it was an £85 room.”

“Great place, great breakfast. Rooms were really lovely. Could be a little noicey at nite when due to get up for a early trip, with the bar just the next floor below. Really lovely place, would stay here again.”
