Vacations Close To Aruba Lava Formation

My stay was average. The place is outdated and could use new fixtures, more electrical outlets (none in the bathroom), paint, etc. The hot water in the shower was a slow drip. The shower head was old and didn't work correctly. The room was clean. They provide a bar of soap and that is all. No shampoo or lotion as pictured. There also is no restaurant or bar. Location is okay, but a little tricky to get to. If you're on a tight budget, this might work. Front desk is hardly there. The pool is nice. The hot tub is not hot water. It's the same as the pool and connected.

Loved the direct access to the beach. Cabanas are limited as everyone wants them…have to reserve at 6am to get one. Beach activities are next door, great for those who love water sports, etc. Buffet was great! Restaurants’ quality is ok… wish the food choices would have been greater!!! Because of the high demand for restaurant seating, staff is a little overwhelmed and thus service is suffering.

Overall, we had a great stay at Secrets Baby Beach Aruba. The resort is beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and Baby Beach itself is probably the biggest highlight. There are around six or seven restaurants at the resort. Food-wise, it was a little hit or miss for us. We did not enjoy the Italian restaurant or the Asian Fusion restaurant with hibachi, but the rest were very good. Breakfast was excellent, and we also really enjoyed the buffet for lunch. Tierra, especially for the steak options, was great, and Oceana was another one of our favorites. One thing we really did not like was how early the pool area shuts down. The two swim-up/pool bars close at 6:00 PM, and the pool itself closes at 7:00 PM. For an adults-only all-inclusive resort, that felt way too early. After that, the bar options are pretty limited. There is a bar near the restaurants, another upstairs by the lobby, and the nightclub, which was usually pretty empty during our stay. I definitely think the resort could use more nightlife and later pool/bar hours. Baby Beach, however, is fantastic. The water is extremely calm because the lagoon and reef help protect it from the ocean waves. You can swim, relax, or even sit in a chair right at the edge of the water. The calm water would also be great for families with small children, even though Secrets itself is currently an adults-only resort. We heard they are building another resort nearby that will be family-friendly.

The resort is really nice. The island is small and cozy. Everyone who works there is really good at their job, genuinely happy, and nice. The whole experience was so relaxing. They have a wonderful shuttle system that runs until 11 pm, taking you all over the resort. there are three resorts, the hotel, they villas, and the golf resort, the golf is across the street and the others are beach side, there is a small public beach between the villas and the hotel resort, where a lot of locals and guest stay, loved walking by it and watching locals enjoy the same beach I was enjoying, it solidified that I made the right choice of hotel stay, this place is a lot like jersey shore and the cape cods where families go every year. You have multi-generational families who go there annually. The staff would be hugging the regulars like they were family and having discussions with the kids about how much they have grown. Really cool to witness; it made me feel like I was somewhere special. The island slogan is "One happy island," OMG, so true. People here are really happy! I will be back next year to bring my family; I feel like they have to experience this Zen oasis!! Loved it. One wish, though- I wish that once we bought all-inclusive, it could be used across all resorts. Unfortunately, your inclusion only applies to your resort area and is closely supervised with color-coded bands. That's my only complaint; the food was delicious. BP-friendly!

I like that the resort is right on the beach but the vibe did not give all inclusive. As soon as you get there you are told to take a snapshot of what’s apart of the all inclusive and what’s not apart of the all inclusive because things are shared with Divi and the golf course resort. The drinks did not scream all inclusive, basic plastic non see through cups, no garnish, no straws nothing you’d take a pic with. The staff were friendly but not attentive at all and did not look like they wanted to be there, almost felt like we had to track down someone to get a cup for water or a water refill. No swim up bar. The one swim up bar was not part of the all inclusive. The bathrooms were cramped some of the living area could have been reduced to accommodate for a larger bathroom. My husband is 6’3” and his knees would hit the shower glass when sitting on the toilet so he’d sit sideways. No staff on the beach. The loungers at the beach and the pool areas are not maintained at all. For example some were so dingy instead of being light blue they were black, some were ripped, and others had bird poop which I get is not their fault but a good spray down at the end of the day would help. You have to reserve restaurants 2 days in advance using their app or concierge. The food was subpar, under seasoned and nothing that was part of the Aruban cuisine. All in all, it was a chill vibe because we made the best of it. Club Margot was the best restaurant.
