“We had a fantastic stay at The Family Tree. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and quiet. And the breakfast was amazing! Just a few minutes’ drive from the Tramway Museum, or a lovely 40-minute walk along the canal to the Hurt Arms in Ambergate. In the end, we were sorry that we were only staying the one night; wish we could have stayed longer. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Derbyshire!”

Housekeeping standards not amazing - but bins emptied and water replaced. “I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“This was my first solo trip on my birthday, and the staff were very helpful and kind, and the room was wonderfully cosy. I would highly recommend anyone going, and I will be returning again soon. The hotel is literally in the heart of Bakewell and close to Chatsworth House. Parking: I would recommend going to the bridge car park nearby, as it has overnight parking and reasonable priced.”
