The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! Not sure where to start from the moment we got there Catherine was so welcoming and friendly then we got to see the gorgeous country cottage style kitchen if you wanted to use kitchen facilities then the stunning bedroom with very tasteful decor and and tea & coffee making facilities in the room, elegant bathroom with spacious walk in shower. “Place old and weatherd- The stairs are narrow and steep- no lift. Water stain on roof in hallway. Room smelled like urnin. bathroom door is so heavy. good location and friendly staff”

“Excellent location for both forest and local villages and towns. Quiet location, all meals very good, breakfast you couldn’t ask for more options. Staff excellent , efficient, yet couldn’t do more. Beers from Cropton brewery excellent and good choices. Some of building from 400 years very quirky rooms on multiple levels, confusing at first but yousoon become accustomed.”

“We love this place. It has charging for our electric vehicle which suits us nicely. The staff are exceedingly helpful; the rooms well appointed with lovely soft pillows and very clean bathrooms. We had a room with a separate lounge this time which was a treat. The restaurant is also very special and the breakfast delicious. The property is near the road so there is some traffic noise but this wasn’t significant enough to worry about, Ripon is an interesting place to walk around too so don’t miss...

“This countryside property just outside Thirsk is easy to find and offers a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, featuring a great shower, huge plush towels, bathrobes, and slippers. Having access to a pool and hot tub was a fantastic bonus. The owner, Sue, was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
