The people are very peaceful, helpful and kind. The weather and the cuisine are  Especially for a New Yorker trying to escape winter! It’s also a beautiful destination that isn’t overrun by tourists in bikinis and flip flops 朗

Essaouira is my favorite city anywhere in the world. Anytime I visit Morocco I come here, and have made true friends. Just walking through the old town many of the shop owners and local merchants remember me and spot me before I spot them. Amazing
